Sustainability: Self Sufficient Residential Cluster Development Project |
~~~ Under Construction ~~~ |
This project endevours to develop a small self sufficient and sustaining five to seven home residential community that generates its own electricity through renewable sources, utilizes thermal passive solar design along side superior insulation techniques. |
|
Short term goals:
- Generate a master plan and project overview
- Create grant applications
- Seek out grant donors
- Seek out eventual home owners
- Locate a suitable property. Currently 22 acres in the Ogden Valley of mostly flat terrain with a year round creek for $599k
|
Long term goals:
- Showcase successful systems to the public
- Create a learning center to educate the public and kids
- Create programs to promote available resources to interested people
- Balanced sewage process system with grey water outflow
- Net gain passive solar thermal systems
- Net gain photovoltaic solar electric systems
- Minimal road use, common transport system design
|
Design goals:
- On site sewage processing system with grey water outflow and living pond
- Utilize passive solar thermal designs
- Utilize photovoltaic solar elecctricity designs
- Utilize hydroelectric elecctricity designs
- Minimal road use
- Develop a common transport magnetic monorail system
